It's happened!

After two or three last minute call-offs, and a couple of no-shows, it ended up that 22 of us (I think it was) turned up at the Electric Bar last night to celebrate 30 years passing since the last of us walked out of Dalziel High School as pupils, and in the process of walking out the door transformed into alleged grown-ups!

In the same vein as the slightly smaller scale version last year, a great time was had by all, and as well as a load of historic images being viewed on the night (who’d have thought so many copies of The Dalzielian still exist!) a fair number of photos were taken by several people.  The group one is on the right (unfortunately we only realised later that two of the girls were off powdering their noses at the time so they aren’t in it – sorry!) and the rest of my own ones have been uploaded to Flickr and marked as private so only people I have listed as friends, or to whom I've sent a link this morning, can see them and they’re hidden to the rest of the world.

It was apparent that everyone I spoke to about it seems to think we should do this every year from now on, and I’m happy to take on the not very stressful task of sending out the odd email about it, so I’ll hopefully be adding more people to the growing list of 1974-1980 FPs.  And in fact that includes a few who were there last night!

So if you fall into the category of having been at Dalziel High School in Motherwell as part of the group who started in 1974 and finished in 1980, even if you weren't part of that group for the whole time, leave a comment here and I'll somehow get back to you with a way to exchange email addresses privately so that they aren't revealed to the world on a Blog!
